Privacy policy

What we collect

When you submit the contact form on somlos.no, we collect the following information:

• Name
• Email address
• Business name (optional)
• The content of your message

If you start a conversation with the chatbot, the messages you write are processed by our provider (see “How we store and process data”). We encourage you not to share sensitive information in the chat — the contact form is a better option for that.

In addition, we collect anonymous visitor statistics (page views, device type, source) through Cloudflare Web Analytics. These statistics are cookieless and cannot be linked to you personally.

We do not collect any other information.

Why we collect it

We use your information solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, follow up with a quote. The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) — necessary to enter into or perform a contract — and (f) — legitimate interest in responding to enquiries to the business.

How we store and process data

The contact form is handled by FormSubmit.co. The information is sent directly to hei@somlos.no via email. FormSubmit does not permanently store submitted data. You can read more about FormSubmit's privacy practices at formsubmit.co/privacy.

The website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare's servers are distributed globally and operate under their data processing agreement (DPA). You can read more at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Email to hei@somlos.no is operated by Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace). Email is stored on Google's infrastructure, with primary processing in the EU. Google may transfer data to the US under EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) when necessary. You can read more at Google's privacy terms for Workspace.

The chatbot on somlos.no is provided by LeadConnector through their AI platform. If you start a chat, your messages are processed by LeadConnector to generate responses. The data is transferred to the US and is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) as the legal basis for third-country transfers. You can read more at leadconnectorhq.com/privacy-policy. You do not have to use the chatbot — the contact form is always an alternative.

Cookies

somlos.no sets no third-party cookies for marketing or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies to deliver the website and protect against abuse.

To understand how many people visit the site we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a cookieless analytics tool that does not identify individual users and does not track you across sites. The tool uses no cookies and collects no personal data that can be linked to you personally. You can read more at cloudflare.com/web-analytics.

Third parties

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing. Information is processed only by:

• Cloudflare Inc. — hosting, CDN and anonymous visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
• FormSubmit.co — form handling
• Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace) — email service
• Google LLC (Google Fonts) — provides the typefaces used on the website. Your IP address is sent to Google when pages load
• LeadConnector — chatbot, if you choose to use it

Your rights

Under the Norwegian Personal Data Act and GDPR you have the right to:

• Request access to the information we have about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Withdraw any consent
• Lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe we process your data in breach of the rules

To exercise your rights, send an email to hei@somlos.no. We respond within 30 days.

Retention

We retain contact information for as long as necessary to follow up the enquiry. If no client relationship arises, the information is deleted within 6 months. For existing clients, necessary documentation is retained in accordance with the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act (5 years).

Changes

We may update this privacy policy as needed. Significant changes will be published on this page with an updated date.
